Schlr (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website at schlr.dev (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from visitors to the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

By visiting or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

This policy applies to the Schlr landing page and waitlist only. A comprehensive updated policy covering AI processing, file uploads, and payments will be published before the full product launches.

3. Age Requirement

The Site is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit your information to the Site. If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted their information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information may contact us at support@schlr.dev.

4. What Information We Collect

At this stage — waitlist only — we collect a minimal amount of information:

Information you provide directly:

• Your email address, submitted voluntarily when you join the waitlist.

Information collected automatically:

• Basic device and browser information (browser type, operating system).
• IP address and approximate geographic location (country and city level only).
• Pages visited, time on Site, and referring URL.
• Interaction events such as button clicks and scroll depth, collected via Vercel Analytics.

We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, health data, or any sensitive personal information at this stage.

5. How We Use Your Information

• To add you to the waitlist and notify you when the product launches.
• To send a single confirmation email upon joining the waitlist.
• To notify you when the Schlr study tool goes live.
• To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
• To monitor Site performance, uptime, and security.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We send transactional emails only. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters at this stage. You will not be added to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

For Australian visitors, we handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

For visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK/EU GDPR:

• Consent — when you submit your email to join the waitlist, you consent to receiving a launch notification. You may withdraw this at any time.
• Legitimate interests — for analytics and Site performance monitoring, where our interest in understanding Site usage does not override your privacy rights.

7. Third-Party Services We Use

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the Site. Each may process your personal information as described:

Supabase

We use Supabase to securely store waitlist email addresses. Data is hosted on AWS infrastructure and may be stored outside Australia. Privacy policy

Resend

We use Resend to send transactional emails, including your waitlist confirmation. Resend processes your email address for this purpose only. Privacy policy

Vercel

The Site is hosted on Vercel, which may collect technical data including IP addresses and access logs as part of standard hosting and delivery. Vercel Analytics is used to collect anonymised usage data. Privacy policy

Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare for DNS, security, and content delivery. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request metadata as traffic passes through its network. Privacy policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for targeted advertising or profiling.

8. Data Retention

We retain your email address on the waitlist until one of the following occurs:

• You unsubscribe or request deletion of your data — we will action this within 7 days.
• The product launches and you choose to create an account, at which point your waitlist record is migrated with your consent.
• We determine the product will not launch, at which point all waitlist data will be deleted within 30 days of that decision.

Automatically collected analytics data is aggregated and retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which it is deleted.

9. International Data Transfers

Some third-party services we use may store or process your data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

For EEA and UK users, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions applicable to each provider. Please refer to the individual privacy policies in Section 7 for details.

10. Your Rights

All users:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information. For waitlist members this means immediate removal from the list.
• Withdrawal of consent — withdraw at any time by emailing us or clicking unsubscribe in any email we send.

• Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
